Press Release: Pro-Life v. Pro-Murder
Pro-Life v. Pro-Murder - Press Release by Ryon for Congress, 2010 Pro-Life Candidate, 15th Congressional District, Ohio

Has Ohio's Republican Leadership abandoned their pro-life platform? You might think that is the case in Ohio's 15th congressional race. Pro-life candidate David Ryon will make his second bid for congress against pro-murder candidate Steve Stivers who was the Republican nominee in 2008 and lost to the democratic candidate Mary Jo Kilroy. The Republican Party lost this seat because Stivers embraces a culture of death.

According to the article by James Nash in the Columbus Dispatch on Monday, October 13, 2008, "Eckhart may split GOP vote in 15th, Independent's stance on abortion could sway congressional race". Stivers has described his position on abortion as "middle ground": supporting the basic right, while outlawing late-term abortions and strengthening parental-notification requirements. In the same article, Lori Viars is quoted as saying, "If Steve Stivers does not adhere to the Republican Party platform, it's not Family First's fault if he loses the election,". Lori Viars is the executive director of Family First.

The Republican Leadership criticized and attacked the Ohio Right to Life and Family First when they refused to endorse pro-murder candidate Steve Stivers. Does that make any sense? It makes as much sense as Stivers claiming he worries about our children's inheritance. Why does it matter to Stivers what children will inherit when many will never see the light of day because of pro-choice legislation that Steve Stivers will embrace if elected. It is time for the madness to end.

As Americans, we must draw a line in the sand. We must say in a clear and loud voice that we will not accept a pro-murder candidate as our nominee. We must make the Republican Leadership and those in office that have received pro-life endorsements to step forward and be accountable. We have chosen to be the voice and the defenders of the unborn. We are at a crossroads.
